Who I am

3rd-year undergrad student from the midwest. Interested in horticulture, botany, agriculture, and ecology. Also interested in music & other topics.

Why I blog

Sharing what I learn about plants and maybe other things. Everyone deserves accessible, reliable information online. At the end of the day, I want to be able to look back at my journey with plants.

What matters

Global warming, habitat loss, and conservation are all huge issues that affect our natural environments and natural diversity. In turn, our health is directly impacted when we don’t have clean, healthy food, water, and natural environments.

There’s a history of people using natural resources for their own gain, depleting those resources in the process. It is crucial that we find ways to ethically and sustainably give and take from our natural surroundings, so that we don’t disrupt delicate natural systems.

The environment is nonpartisan, nonreligious, nondiscriminatory in terms of race, gender, sexuality, or socioeconomic status. Poor people will be the most harmed by the loss of a stable climate in the next 100 years. We have to end environmental exploitation that benefits only the super-wealthy.
